Exciting opportunity for young innovators in Ethiopia!

The Stichting Wageningen Research Ethiopia (SWRE) under its Resilient Agriculture for Inclusive and Sustainable Ethiopian Food Systems Programme (RAISE-FS Ethiopia) and in partnership with Shayashone, is launching a Youth Challenge Fund (YCF) – an initiative aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship in agriculture and transforming the country’s food systems.

This call is open to final-year undergraduates, MSc, and PhD students from Bahir Dar University, Hawassa University, Haramaya University, and Mekelle University. The challenge offers seed funding along with coaching, training, and business development services to bring your innovative ideas to life.

If you have an impactful business concept focused on poultry, pulses, spices, oilseed or other key agricultural sub-sectors, we encourage you to apply before June 8, 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey and drive positive change in Ethiopia’s food systems.
