Shayashone is partnering up with the European African Seed Initiative (EASI Seeds) South Africa to promote agripreneurs and distribute high-quality seeds to farmers across the Rift Valley region of Ethiopia.
Commissioned by the Ethiopia-Netherlands Seed Partnership (ENSP), this project will provide training and coaching to agripreneurs, organize demonstrations at farmers' plots, and build the capacity of extension workers to deliver quality extension services.
But that is not all, SYS and EASI Seeds are also working with the Ethiopian Agricultural Authority and Ministry of Agriculture to register seven high-yielding vegetable seed varieties, including tomato, beetroot, carrot, pepper, watermelon, onion, and cabbage.
