Building on the momentum of our recent work on the Youth Challenge Fund (YCF), we have successfully concluded the second round of Business and Entrepreneurship Training in Addis Ababa. YCF is a collaboration between the Resilient Agriculture for Inclusive and Sustainable Ethiopian Food Systems (RAISE-FS) project, Bahir Dar University, Haramaya University, Hawassa University, Mekelle University, and Shayashone PLC (SYS).
As we transition from training to action, we are excited to announce the commencement of a coaching program. This step is crucial in refining the 41 concept notes into fully developed business proposals. Each participant is supported by two specialized coaches: a technical coach with extensive expertise in livestock or crop production or Agri-tech, and a business coach who enhances their business development and entrepreneurial skills. These sessions are meticulously designed not only to prepare participants for this program but also to equip them with knowledge and skills that will serve them in future endeavors.
Moreover, the coaching does not stop at proposal development. Participants will engage in focused sessions where they will practice and refine various pitching skills, ensuring they present their ideas well.
SYS is proud to be part of this transformative journey that nurtures the potential of the next generation to drive the agricultural sector forward.
