The Ethiopian Ministry of Agriculture’s Ten-Year Leading Plan aims to increase egg production from 2,854 million in 2019/20 to 5,546 million in 2029/30. During the same period, chicken meat production is expected to grow from 48,000 tonnes to 106,000 tonnes.
Achieving these targets requires a collective effort from stakeholders, including equipping poultry farmers with the right skills.
At Shayashone PLC (SYS), we believe that knowledge is the foundation of progress. That is why we recently conducted a specialized training session for poultry farmers, equipping them with best practices in:
– Early disease detection and prevention strategies
– Efficient feeding techniques and
– Sustainable poultry farming practices for increasing egg and meat production
The training was conducted in collaboration with Zoetis’ African Livestock Productivity and Health Advancement (A.L.P.H.A.) Plus initiative, the Ethiopian Poultry Producers and Processors Association, Trust Agro-consulting and Farming PLC, and Farm Africa Agricultural Equipment & Feed Selling Company.
We are proud to contribute to the growth of Ethiopia’s poultry sector by empowering farmers with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
